Austin-area home sales, median price hit all-time high in 2016

Central Texas home sales and home prices hit a record high in 2016, the Austin Board of Realtors said Wednesday. It was the sixth straight year of record sales and prices in the Austin metro area. Economists are forecasting a strong housing market for 2017, though perhaps not as robust as 2016.
